Creating webquest template

I hope that others feel as confused as I do about designing a webquest. I am so lost! The one thing that I do like is the creative element. It allows you to be creative and design something completely original. There are so many great webquests out there and they can be such a useful tool.

Presentations

Everyone did an outstanding job. This was not easy for our group and I imagine other groups struggled as well. I really learned a lot about the various subjects presented. The presentation on cyberbullying was a real eye opener. It's a topic that is so new that we don't even think about how much it can impact a child's life. I had never seen a smartboard in my life. I want one! They look like so much fun and I think that kids would find it to be pretty cool.

Examining Lesson Plans

This was an interesting look at various lesson plans on the web. I find it hard to visualize how a plan will actually look like in action just by reading a plan that someone has typed up. I think it is easier to understand when you see it in action. I guess that this just proves how important it is for our students to be given hands on activities in order to learn. If they are anything like me, they learn by doing and not just reading.

Creating multimedia project

I loved the powerpoint presentation that we created! I think that this would be such a great project to get kids to truly think about history and see the relevance that it has to our lives even today. I have a long way to go before I could instruct students in doing this , but I feel now that I get the idea and see how it could work.

Copyright and legal issues

I was stunned to find out that many of the practices that I see in school each day are not considered legal. After looking at the LOC website, I have a clearer idea of how to know what is ok or not ok to use. I do think that this is so important for teachers to know because we have an obligation to set an example to students.
